I provide my clients a full service photography experience, from planning the session beforehand to walking away with finished pieces of fine art ready to display on their walls. Clients are able to choose from the highest quality products including mounted prints, framed art, canvases, and custom designed albums in a variety of sizes. My goal is to provide you with keepsake heirlooms to cherish for a lifetime!

A bit about the process...
During our pre-consultation, clients and I discuss the photoshoot, clothing choices, weather, and schedules. Clients are able to see real life samples of each of the products I offer, view the price guide, and ask any questions they may have. Once we determine a potential date or timeframe for the photoshoot, I collect a nonrefundable $100 booking fee to guarantee your spot on my schedule.

Approximately 2-3 weeks after the photo session I invite clients back to view their processed images, pick out their favorites, and design their products. I can help you step-by-step in designing a wall layout for your images, showing you what your favorite images look like on your wall in real sizes!

If you are interesting in a start-to-finish photography experience, please contact me to arrange a pre-consultation! Products start at $75.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer digitals?
I include a small social media digital file along with each print or canvas purchased sized 11x14 or larger. My larger albums include a limited number of low resolution sized files as well. These files are perfect for sharing on Facebook or Instagram, or using on announcement and Christmas cards.
I do have one package that includes all full-sized, high resolution copies of the images processed from my session with unlimited printing rights.

How long does it take to edit my images?
Approximately 2-3 weeks

How many images will I have to choose from?
I generally process around 15-20 images from the session.

How long does it take to receive my products?
Once products are paid in full, they generally arrive within a 1 to 2 weeks. Framed pieces tend to take a bit longer with a 6 week turnaround.

Do you ship?
Yes! There is no shipping charge for any of my products!

Is there a minimum purchase amount?
The only payment that I require is the $100 booking fee. Aside from that, there is no minimum purchase. Spending is open-ended depending on what sort of products the client is interested in.

What sort of payments do you take?
I accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. I can also arrange payment plans.

How do you work around inclement weather?
Kodiak's weather is my biggest challenge in photography. I try and work with my clients, their work schedules, and the weather forecast to the best of my ability. I usually give clients a timeframe to have their photo session (e.g. mid-September) and keep a very close eye on the weather patterns about a week leading up to a desired date. I will communicate closely with you to set up the best day and time possible to take your photos - it almost always works out one way or another!

How far do I need to book in advance?
For outdoor sessions I have people usually book 2-3 months in advance. The late summer and early fall (August thru mid-October) are my peak seasons. I can only take a limited amount of outdoor sessions per month to try to best guarantee good weather.
Newborn sessions are ideally booked several months prior to the due date.

What time of day is the best to take photos?
On a clear day, about 1-2 hours before sundown. On an overcast day, I usually like to wait till the later half of the day.

Why is lighting so important?
Lighting is, in my opinion, the most critical element in photography. It will make or break your photo. The majority of my work is taken during periods of "soft light" - away from the sun's overhead rays, squinting eyes, harsh shadows across your faces, and neon green grass. Soft light is when the sun is low on the horizon and causes a nice, even, glowing tone across the scenery and face.

Do you photograph weddings?
Not at the moment!

Do you photograph newborns?
Yes!
